Xiaomi unveiled its highly anticipated Smart Band 9 alongside its latest innovative foldable device in China this past June, capturing the attention of fitness enthusiasts and tech lovers alike. During the Xiaomi 14T series launch event, the brand officially expanded its reach, introducing this cutting-edge fitness band to the global market with great excitement.

Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Specifications and Features

The Smart Band 9 is equipped with a 1.62-inch AMOLED display, boasting a resolution of 192 x 490 pixels and a pixel density of 326 ppi. It can achieve a maximum brightness of 1200 nits, and users have the option to adjust the brightness according to their preference. This fitness tracker offers over 200 watch faces, with an NFC variant available for contactless payments.

Weighing just 15.8 grams (without the strap), the band delivers up to 21 days of battery life with Always-On Display (AOD) turned off. With AOD enabled, it lasts around 9 days per charge. The device is powered by a 233mAh battery that takes roughly an hour to fully recharge.

Built to endure water depths of up to 50 meters, the Smart Band 9 is rated for 5ATM water resistance. Xiaomi has also enhanced the haptic feedback by incorporating a linear vibration motor for a more refined user experience.

The heart rate and SpO₂ sensors have been improved, offering 16% more accuracy compared to its predecessor, the Smart Band 8. This ensures more precise monitoring of heart health and blood oxygen levels.

In terms of connectivity, the Smart Band 9 supports Bluetooth 5.4 and offers essential functions like music control, message replies, and weather updates. It's compatible with both Android and iOS devices, ensuring versatility for a wide range of users. Additionally, the Smart Band 9 comes with a new generation Xiaomi running clip, allowing for easy attachment and removal. This feature enables users to track and analyze their running performance with 13 metrics, including running cadence, stride length, and ground contact time ratio.
